Brooklyn Pride 2008!!!

Last Saturday, we had a nice time out at Brooklyn Pride 2008. Our booth was stationed on Prospect Park West & 14th Street. As always, we thank all of the people who came to our both and showed us support. And we were also thankful for the opportunity to be able to participate in this year's festivities and show our support to the Gay & Lesbian community.

It was a fun time although, the weather was unbearably hot! We eventually got caught in a huge downpour, which actually worked nicely to cool us off at the end of our day.

Our next stop....Saturday, June 21st. We'll be in Chelsea at the 23rd Street Festival (located between 7th and 8th Avenue in NY). We'll have new colors for our DOPE tees and our T-Dress. So make sure to come check us out!

Pictures of our time at Brooklyn Pride will be posted soon.

DOPE Enough 2 Make you Holla & Scream!!!

“Wassup, Wassup!!” yells 17-year old Rye Rye, a DOPE artist hailing from Baltimore, as she belts out the lyrics to one of her crowd moving rhymes. This petite artist with a voice reminiscent of 80’s old school artist, Roxanne Shante, is definitely one of the hottest upcoming talents that we should look out for. The Cut It Out! Team had the pleasure to catch her show recently in New York, and she tore down the house. Rye Rye is a phenomenal performer with great spirit and a bright smile that is guaranteed to pull you right in. A leading lady on the Baltimore club scene, she’s also a young protégé of London queen, M.I.A. Rye Rye is a cool, down-to-earth young lady, who loves being her! Which is definitely one of the most important things that we at Cut It Out! stand for. When she’s not touring with M.I.A. or ripping the stage across the country, you can probably catch Rye Rye chilling with her family and friends. Check her out here. We appreciate the love and support Rye Rye. Keep doing what you do!

Our First Festival...

Last Sunday Cut It Out! Apparel came out to represent some of Brooklyn's best pieces at our booth during the 33rd Annual Atlanic Antic street festival. The weather was great, the food and music, even better. We got a lot of positive responses on our clothing line. Ladies were really feeling the colors, vibe and more importantly, the message of our line. The fellas were also diggin' the concept too...dope!

My Name Is Not Shorty, turned out to be the crowd's fav...with Destroy Stereotypes coming in second...it was interesting to watch the many passing eyes try to decipher what the shirt said...80% got it and when they did, LOVED it!!! We're working on our online flash site at the moment and hope to have that up by November. In the meantime, please visit our temporary STORE if you'd like to purchase a tee. We will be out at another festival in Brooklyn on October 13. Will post more information soon...

In the meantime, please check out the photos below...good times....
